The Belfast Giants are pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old defenceman Jaeden Martin for the 2026/27 season.

Boynton Beach-born Martin joins the Giants after four seasons in Denmark, during which the United States-Sweden dual-national contributed 62 total points in 214 appearances in all competitions for the Rødovre Mighty Bulls, Frederikshavn White Hawks, and Odense Bulldogs between 2022 and 2026. Martin had a particularly successful 2025/26 campaign, posting 22 total points in 60 games for the White Hawks and Bulldogs.

Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “Jaeden arrives highly recommended by his previous coaches. He's coming off a great season in Denmark and is the ultimate pro, coming in in great shape and ready to go. Jaeden is a strong two-way defenceman who will add some physicality and speed to our lineup.”

Before establishing himself in the Metal Ligaen, Martin cut his teeth in Sweden, playing over 160 games for IK Oskarshamn and HC Dalen from 2019 to 2022.

Commenting on joining the Belfast Giants, Jaeden Martin said“I am super excited to join the Belfast Giants. Not only have I heard great things about the organisation and fans, but also the city itself, so I can't wait to arrive, meet my teammates, and get to work.”
